Freelance Technicians

Main Purpose of Position:

There are opportunities for Freelance Technicians within the On-Site Service Business of Electrosonic. These positions would involve working a nine hour shift pattern (between the core hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm), including one hour for lunch at a number of client sites. These positions are not permanent, we are looking at increasing the number of freelance technicians we currently have on our books.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Troubleshooting AV & VC equipment within time constraints

2. Supporting the customer in the use of AV systems

3. Running the AV & VC aspects of presentations for high profile meetings

4. Managing the systems and procedures as defined by the on site manager

5. Preventative maintenance support and system checks

6. Support of client events and systems

Skills and Attributes

1. Technicians should have a good standard of computer literacy and ideally will have a sound technical background within the Audio Visual industry

2. Willing to work with permanent members of the on-site team and take instruction from them

3. Ability to deal with difficult customers

4. Always presents a positive image to the customer

5. A flexible approach to the working day

6. The ability to work with a positive attitude, unsupervised and under pressure is necessary

7. The technician is required to be an excellent communicator confident in dealing with people at all levels
