Installation Engineer

Location: Dartford, UK (and site as required)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Main Purpose of Position:

To Install AV equipment in various sites, Museums, Theme Parks, Visitor Centers, Corporate Establishments and Retail Stores primarily in the UK and Europe but also worldwide.

Job Critical Success Factors

1. One hundred percent focus on and adherence to the company policy on health and safety

2. Perform installation work for AV Systems within the budgeted number of hours and to the required quality levels

3. Low re-work rate and all work carried out to a high quality calibre

4. All Installation work carried out in accordance with ES Quality Procedures – evident through successful audits

Key Skills:

1. Strong ability to work alone and on own initiative

2. Be a good team member

3. Ability to carry out installation activities on time, on spec, and to keep to the budgeted number of hours for each job

4. Be organised, flexible and able to approach different types of tasks during the working day

5. Very good communication skills

6. To have a good understanding of 1st and 2nd fix AV installations

7. Have excellent soldering, crimp and terminating skills

8. Ability to work from instructions from Project Engineers and Project Managers, but also to think laterally and suggest engineering solutions on site

9. To be able to work from schematics, terminating sheets, site plans and projector drawings

10. Have strong mechanical skills

11. The ideal applicant will be flexible and able to adapt to various situations put to them

Person spec:

1. Must be physically fit

2. The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s experience of production and wiring methods and carried out previous installation work in the electrical / AV industry

3. The ideal candidate will have a background from AV, electrical or electronic industries

4. Be willing and able to work both in Dartford and on customer sites in UK and Europe

5. A full driving licence is essential
