On-Site Technician

Main Purpose of Position:
To ensure all Audio Visual services are delivered to the business in a professional and efficient manner. To set up and provide technical support for all client events. To support the customer in the use of AV systems and to ensure all video conferencing and simultaneous interpretation requirements for the client are met in full.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Ensure all faults or requests are correctly handled
2. Carry out regular scheduled testing of meeting rooms and equipment
3. Supporting the client in the use of AV Systems
4. Supporting Video Conferencing and simultaneous interpretation meetings
5. Liaising with clients to establish needs and providing support in respect of these needs
6. Any other responsibilities as requested by On Site supervisor and any senior member of staff
Room Set-Ups
1. Make sure the rooms are cleared from previous meeting and room is of a tidy appearance prior to start of meeting
2. Meet and Greet clients
The Post-Holder:
1. The post holder should be able to demonstrate an aptitude towards providing a high level of customer service
2. Should have at least two years experience working as an Audio Visual technician
3. Technicians should have a good standard of computer literacy and ideally will have an understanding of PowerPoint to an intermediate level
4. A good technical background within Audio Visual
5. To be well organised and flexible and to be able to approach different tasks during the working day
6. Ability to deal with difficult customers
7. Always present a positive image to the customer
8. The ability to work with a positive attitude
9. Ability to work under pressure
10. A flexible approach to the working day
11. An excellent communicator confident in dealing with people at all levels
12. Willing to undertake training and examinations to improve their technical knowledge
