Service Sales Consultant

Summary:
Maximize the sales, sales margin, product exposures, and client satisfaction in the Museum market for the Washington D.C. Service operation. Promote up front service sales and offerings. Ensure that the sales volume meets or exceeds the Company’s short and long term quotas and expectations. The primary sales focus will be on existing Smithsonian museums in Washington D.C. driving sales of lamp replacements, service contracts and on-site personnel. Driving sales
of parts and lamps replacements.
Responsibilities:
1.
Develop and promote the company’s presence as a service provider in the assigned market(s). Establish and support customers utilizing personal selling skills and contacts as well as the company’s national promotional campaigns and marketing resources.
2.
Work with the Service team to ensure all service offerings are presented on all Electrosonic sales.
3.
Achieve or exceed planned (i.e. budgeted) sales objectives for assigned markets.
4.
In conjunction with the General Manager of Service, plan and implement marketing and promotional programs. Provide information on customer and market conditions for the company’s strategic marketing plans.
5.
Provide the monthly reports on sales/quotes/forecast reports, complete and on time.
6.
Demonstrate product and system capabilities to all levels of clients, including one-on-one situations.
7.
Provide verbal and written quotes to prospective clients. Coordinate proposals with other departments to ensure accuracy and continuity (e.g. credit terms approval from the Controller).
8.
Provide professional and timely responses to client requests and questions. Ensure that the territory’s clients are fully satisfied with the company’s performance.
9.
Maintain complete records of existing and potential accounts. Provide the data to other departments (e.g. to marketing for direct mail programs), as needed.
10.
Perform other activities and responsibilities as directed by the immediate manager.

Requirements:
1.
Undergraduate degree
or an equivalent amount of education and/or focused sales experience.
2.
In-depth knowledge of
video, show control, audio visual and related product lines.
3.
Successful sales / support experience (minimum of 4 years preferred) in U.S. with museum customers using technical product lines preferably video or A/V related.
