WORKSHOP COORDINATOR
Dartford, UK

The role is based at Hawley Mill and reports to the Service Administration Manager. A very busy role that requires a dynamic personality; able to multi-task and think quickly on their feet. To co-ordinate the activities of the Service Workshop and its Engineers ensuring products are efficiently repaired. To quote and process any spares or parts orders. The working hours are 8.30am to 5pm.

Specific Duties

Workshop

Accountability & responsibility for all workshop repairs.
- Logging repairs into Call Management System
- Managing repairs from beginning to end of process
- Purchasing for internal parts and consumables
- Raising PO’s for parts required for workshop repair
- Logging all workshop repairs onto Workshop log sheet
- Managing third party repairs
- Attend & contribute to monthly service support desk meetings
- Invoicing & Credit notes

Reports

- Total Calls logged per month
- Total Open
- Total Closed
- Average workshop turnaround for month
- Average workshop turnaround for month previous

Miscellaneous

Administrative support as required to desk, Service Manager and Service Director
- Manage Quality Survey Questionnaires
- Department Holiday & Sickness records
- Customer calls (twice a year)

- Do they require anything further?
- Would they like a visit from our service manager?

AV ENGINEER
London, UK

Based at our client’s premises in Canary Wharf, vacancies exist within the Service Business of Electrosonic for an AV Engineer to establish, support and grow the audio visual and videoconferencing requirements at a major new headquarters complex.

The position demands a high degree of technical operational support, customer facing skills and the necessary management and administration duties. It is envisaged that the successful candidates will already be at team leader or senior technician level. Day to day reporting will be to the client . This is a permanent position.

The position would involve working an eight hour shift pattern between the core hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm. Specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • Technical support for all on-site systems
  • Engineering services for major events
  • Preventative Maintenance support and system checks
  • Management and co-ordination for site service and maintenance contract
  • Establishing processes and procedures for ISO, Health and Safety
  • Compilation and production of monthly MIS reports
  • Liaison with other service providers to provide a seamless service to client
  • Advising clients and executive on how best to use installed systems and facilities as major company events/board presentations will be staged within the building.
  • Raise work permit requests, produce method statements and risk assessments
  • Maintenance and upkeep of inventory database and equipment/systems
  • Provide a fast response to service requests
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required.

Skills and Attributes

  • Engineers must have a good standard of computer literacy and ideally will have a sound technical background within the Audio Visual industry currently working at Senior Technician or Team Leader level.
  • The engineer should have or will be trained on Tandberg, Crestron, and Extron
  • Numerate and literate to produce monthly MIS reports
  • Ability to deal with customers at all levels (regular exposure to board level executives)
  • Professional persona, must be able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a positive attitude
  • A flexible approach to the working day
  • Manage own time effectively working mostly unsupervised.

SENIOR AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN
London, UK

Based at our client’s premises in the City, a vacancy exists within the Service Business of Electrosonic for a Senior Audio Visual Technician. The working hours are based within a shift pattern Monday to Friday between 7:00am – 7:00pm.

This position reports to Electrosonic’s on site AV/VC Services manager, day to day instruction would come from the on-site supervisor.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install, operate and de-rig a range of audio visual/videoconference equipment
  • Packing down and storing all equipment when meetings finish
  • Ensure all faults or requests are reported via the right procedures
  • Ensure all faults or requests that have been reported, are followed up and closed
  • Be responsible for a key area of the department, ie Hires, consumables, Servicing & faults etc
  • Manage regular scheduled testing of meeting rooms and equipment
  • Support satellite offices nearby
  • Ensure paperwork relating to SLA’s is filled in correctly in a timely manner
  • Training technicians and junior technicians to a competent standard.

Room Set-ups

  • Make sure the room is cleared from previous meeting and room is of a tidy appearance
  • Ensure required equipment is set up in appropriate room
  • Meet and Greet clients.

Event Management

  • Liaison with client
  • Liaison with AV Manager
  • Manage event set-up
  • Brief AV technician
  • Arrange hire through specific hire technician.

The Post-holder

  • The post holder should be able to demonstrate an aptitude towards providing a very high level of customer service
  • Should have at least three years experience of working as an Audio Visual technician
  • Technicians should have a good standard of computer literacy and ideally will have an understanding of PowerPoint to an advanced level
  • a good technical background within the Audio Visual industry
  • Willing to work with other members of the on-site team
  • To be well organised and flexible and to be able to approach different tasks during the working day
  • Ability to deal with difficult customers

The position would involve working an eight hour shift pattern (between the core hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm) within a team of 7 other staff. The post reports to, and day to day instruction would come from Electrosonic’s on-site Team Leaders. Specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure all Audio Visual services are delivered to the business in a professional and efficient manner
  • Supporting the customer in the use of AV systems
  • Ensure all Video conferencing requirements are met in full
  • Provide general support across the range of areas that fall within CAS’ remit

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install, operate and de-rig a range of audio visual/videoconference equipment

SALES CONSULTANT
Edinburgh, UK

Main Purpose of Position

The post holder will mainly be responsible, selling complete integrated audiovisual systems and service contracts to the Leisure, Retail, Corporate, Education and Residential markets, predominantly in Scotland and the North of England.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the selling of multiple projects and clients and support them with detailed quotations, proposals and designs. The markets dealt with will include museums and visitor centres, attractions and high level retail, corporate presentation facilities, education presentation facilities and some high end developer led residential applications.
  • To be able to outline design and budget systems in terms of their electronic, mechanical and optics to meet the needs of our clients, using proven technology and also looking for new and interesting solutions to problems. The consultant will require reasonable working knowledge of at least:
    • Lighting Control
    • Video replay and control
    • Large format projection systems
    • Sound Systems
    • Show control and room control systems
    • Interactive computer based exhibit design
    • Special effects control including mechanical and optical effects.
  • Liaise with suppliers and develop relationships to assist in selecting necessary components for a system.
  • Deal with all aspects regarding interfacing of audio visual systems in to buildings and able to liaise with other trade specialists including lighting designers, set contractors and others.
  • Ability to handle basic commercial matters and negotiate terms and conditions for orders and contracts, to the advantage of the company.
  • This role will require a combination of effort from within the office dealing reactively with sales calls, as well as proactive sales and some travel around the region.
  • Meet sales and orders targets and be able to forecast work accurately over a period of time.
  • Represent the company at a senior level with the necessary level of professional conduct and presentation

FLEXIBLE SUPPORT TECHNICIANS
(Various Locations, UK)

There are opportunities for Flexible Support Technicians within the On-Site Service Business of Electrosonic. You will be responsible for providing continuity of support at our contracted sites principally, but not limited to, Canary Wharf and the City of London, covering periods of absence by our staff based permanently at these sites.

The role involves supporting (and sometimes servicing) Audio Visual and Video Conferencing equipment for high profile meetings and associated presentations. Although in most situations you will be a temporary member of an established team on certain sites you will be supporting the client as our sole site representative.

Purpose of Role

  • Provide cover for sickness, holiday, training and additional event support
  • Supporting the customer in the use of AV systems
  • Running the AV & VC aspects of presentations for high profile meetings

PROJECT ENGINEER
Dartford, UK

A vacancy has arisen for a Project Engineer in the Systems Engineering team of Electrosonic. This will be full-time position based at our Hawley Mill headquarters in Dartford.

Purpose of Position

To work as part of the Systems Engineering team under the direction of a Project Manger to design and commission audio visual systems for projects undertaken by the company, within budget and to the satisfaction of our customers.

  • Perform design work and issue information on multiple projects within the budgeted cost and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Liaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors both in-house and on customers sites.
  • Design systems in terms of their electronics, mechanics’ and optics to meet the needs of our clients, using proven technology and also looking for new and interesting solutions to problems.
  • Work within the companies quality systems ensure that we comply with procedures and ensure that quality control is maintained.
  • Ensure that job files and records are accurately maintained in paper and electronic form.
  • Physically setup elements of systems to prove the concept.

EVENT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

This is a full-time position, reporting to the AV Services manager and based at our clients' premises in London.

Main Purpose of Position

To set up and provide technical support for all client events within the company.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Promote and adhere to the Company’s ISO policy and procedures.
  • Setting up and breaking down of Audio Visual and Video conferencing items as per the client’s requirements.
  • Supporting the client in the use of AV Systems.
  • Running the AV aspect of presentations for high profile meetings.
  • Supporting Video Conferencing calls.
  • Liaising with customer to establish needs and providing support in respect of these needs.
  • Preventative maintenance to AV equipment.
  • Carry out regular troubleshooting to AV equipment within time constraints.
  • If feasible carry out repairs to AV equipment installed on customer’s premises.
  • Act as Mentor to any new recruits joining the Media Services Team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the equipment is safe for use and that the quality of work carried out is of the highest standard.
  • Any other responsibilities as requested by your supervisor and any senior member of staff.

There are opportunities for Freelance Technicians within the On-Site Service Business of Electrosonic. These positions would involve working a nine hour shift pattern (between the core hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm), including one hour for lunch at a number of client sites.

These positions are not permanent, we are looking at increasing the number of freelance technicians we currently have on our books.

Purpose of the Role

  • Supporting the customer in the use of AV systems
  • Running the AV & VC aspects of presentations for high profile meetings
  • Troubleshooting AV & VC equipment within time constraints
  • Managing the systems and procedures as defined by the on site manager
  • Preventative Maintenance support and system checks
