Overview
VN-GLIMPSE RGB Adapter allows RGB signals to be streamed over a standard IP network.

Live, graphical images from a computer's monitor output may be viewed on a networked terminal or display wall (through a processor such as the Electrosonic VN-2400). The source computer's mouse and keyboard can be controlled from the viewing location. Source image resolutions up to UXGA are supported, using analog or DVI connections.

VN-GLIMPSE offers KVM over IP functionality with perfect pixel reproduction, strong real time performance, and efficient utilization of network bandwidth. It is designed for use with sources with low to moderate motion.

What makes VN-GLIMPSE special?

High quality computer graphic images in remote locations can be connected to displays and audio visual presentation systems across network infrastructures
New installations require lower cost and lower weight cabling than traditional analog methods of transporting RGB sources over coax
Proprietary image compression technology ensures that there is no loss of image fidelity
Unlike remote desktop software, the RGB Adapter provides a non-intrusive solution. This means that there is no need to install software on the host computer, and no CPU performance impact
Auto-detection of sources means that set-up is quick
Inputs can be digital (DVI) or analog RGB
Support for different sync types and non-standard resolutions allow a wide variety of equipment to be connected
A small unit with no fan, it can sit under a desk or behind a PC

Administrative Control
Network bandwidth contribution is managed, as well as user access. Streams can be multi-cast allowing simultaneous viewing of a source from multiple locations, without increasing network traffic.

Product Options
VN-GLIMPSE RGB Adapter is purchased as a unicast or multicast capable unit.

ES3611 is the unicast unit
ES3611/M is the multicast unit

Both units are supplied with an AC mains unit, all cables needed to connect the unit in a PC's monitor / mouse / keyboard path, a mains lead and a CD with GLIMPSE Viewer software and configuration utilities. The viewer software is written for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000 platforms (if you are interested in using the GLIMPSE Viewer on other platforms, please contact us).

A rack mounting bracket (ES3611/RM) allows one or two units to be mounted in 1U of 19" rack space.
