The University of Salford recently opened a new digital learning and research space at its MediaCityUK development in Salford Quays. This space features a flexible audio-visual system that can be customised and used in creative ways to educate and entertain students and visitors. The original technical design was prepared by The Centre for Virtual Environments at the University of Salford, and Electrosonic engineered and installed the complete system.

The Port of Los Angeles is one of the busiest cruise ports on the West Coast, with Disney Cruise Line and other major cruise lines calling at the World Cruise Center.  With the news that Disney Cruise Line planned to relocate the Disney Wonder cruise ship from Florida to Los Angeles, Electrosonic was tasked with the creation of an audio, video and show control system that could accommodate this new addition to the Port of Los Angeles.

The 360 Mall’s Family Entertainment Center complex located in Kuwait features an all-around immersive mall experience that offers top-of-the-line rides, the latest video games and skill tests for the entire family. Electrosonic designed, supplied, installed and programmed extensive LED lighting, digital signage, video projection, special effects, audio and show control for what has become a go-to destination in the desert emirate.

China State Shipbuilding Pavilion at Expo 2010

Its arc structure resembling the keel of a ship, the China State Shipbuilding Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai China showcases the nation’s time-honored history of shipbuilding and is one of the few pavilions that will remain as a museum after the Expo concludes.  Electrosonic provided the extensive audio, video and show-control systems for the pavilion that enable visitors to explore the role of shipping in China’s past, investigate exciting concepts for future floating cities and farms, and simulate navigation.  Electrosonic was challenged to deliver multi-image and edge-blended displays onto unusual surfaces; and furnish immersive interactive experiences for visitors.

Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Sightseers at The Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, Scotland (RBGE) are welcomed to the new John Hope Gateway visitor center where AV systems integrated by Electrosonic help them get oriented and explore the facility.  Designed by Edward Cullinan architects, the center is a prime example of green construction and sustainability.

Club Nokia Lobby

Los Angeles, California

Guests arriving at Club Nokia, Los Angeles’s newest intimate live performance space, find that its stylish lobby has become a destination in its own right with interactive video, photos and text to engage and entertain them.  Electrosonic engineered, supplied and installed the majority of the AV equipment for the Club Nokia lobby where an innovative interactive experience is mounted in handsome horizontal burnished copper wall panels.

Duty-Free Airport Shopping

Duty-free shopping has never been easier than at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport where an Electrosonic digital signage system highlights the luxury goods for sale at the Duty Free Americas, Inc. (DFA) stores.

Nokia Flagship Stores

Worldwide

Nokia has opened flagship stores in Moscow, Helsinki, New York, Chicago, Hong Kong and Mexico City. These are exciting places in which to socialize and to handle the latest Nokia products. They make stimulating use of sound, lighting, streamed video and interactive techniques. Electrosonic was responsible for the AV integration, and service support for the completed installations.

HBO Retail Store

New York, NY

HBO has opened its first retail store at its headquarters on the Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) in New York City. Electrosonic engineered the display system.

500 foot long sign at Chicago Airport

Chicago, Illinois

Chicago's O'Hare Airport, in conjunction with its largest tenant, United Airlines, boasted what was probably the longest rear projection sign in the world. It was made up of 138 fifty inch 16:9 ratio DLP™ displays, and ran the full length of the check-in area.
