ImageStar HD is a compact, powerful processor for scaling a variety of input source types to one or more displays. It can be used to drive creative, multi-panel displays, or non-standard format projection and LED displays. Images can be scaled up or down or streteched across multiple displays.

Up to four inputs may be connected, one of which may be scaled and displayed in whole or in part on all outputs. Varying percentage scaling, cropping and viewporting allows overlaps to be defined for edge-blended projection applications. ImageStar HD’s compact size allows it to be mounted behind flat panel displays. Configure-and-forget or IP-based control make the product both simple and flexible.

ImageStar HD can be used to bypass inferior processing built into some displays, by driving the display at its native resolution. Using the latest generation of patented, Electrosonic convolver scaling technology, ImageStar HD is able to accept inputs up to HD or UXGA, and scale and split the image to drive up to two displays at SXGA+/1080i or four outputs at SXGA/WXGA/720p. Scaling images up or down, this technology produces a very uniform result at all scaling factors.

2x2 Flat Panel Display

Application Need: Internal magnifications in flat panels do not correct the image for the physical space occupied by bezels.

Solution: The scaling, cropping and viewporting capability in ImageStar HD provides superior image quality and can be used to eliminate the geometric distortion caused by screen to screen bezel gaps.

4x4 or Larger FlatPanel Displays

Application Need: Internal flat panel magnification sizes are frequently limited to 2x2.

Solution: ImageStar HD provides the means to magnify images external to the flat panel at a higher quality.
