Club Nokia Lobby

Club Nokia Lobby, Engineered By Electrosonic, Draws Crowds Of Its Own
Los Angeles, California

Guests arriving at Club Nokia, Los Angeles’s newest intimate live performance space, find that its stylish lobby has become a destination in its own right with interactive video, photos and text to engage and entertain them.  Electrosonic engineered, supplied and installed the majority of the AV equipment for the Club Nokia lobby where an innovative interactive experience is mounted in handsome horizontal burnished copper wall panels.

Using foot-controlled floor interfaces and touchscreens, visitors can scroll through the history of Club Nokia and preview future events as they interact with pictures, video and text submitted by fellow fans and professional photographers using cameras in high-end Nokia devices.

“Many aspects of the project simply hadn’t been done before,” notes Electrosonic sales engineer Les Hill.  “Visitors stand on foot pads and by shifting their weight cause the pictures to scroll in a timeline.  Using Nokia handheld devices they can upload favorite photos or concert shots and see them displayed on the wall.  It’s all very new and different and required quite a bit of thinking to implement.  It took a team of players from Electrosonic, the design firms and Nokia to pull it off.”

Club Nokia hosts up to 2,300 guests for live concerts and performances and also serves as an ideal space for corporate events and private parties.
