Visitors to the National World War II Museum in New Orleans are moved and excited by its unique new immersive film attraction, “Beyond All Boundaries,” which not only tells the story of the “war that changed the world” but also breaks boundaries of its own in 4D cinema experiences.  Electrosonic was responsible for the design and integration of the Audio Visual and show control system for what Tom Brokaw called “the most significant cinematic piece on World War II.”

A seven-level, high-tech interactive museum, the Newseum traces the history of news reporting from the 16th century to the present. Originally located in Arlington, Virginia, the Newseum is now at the Capitol end of Pennsylvania Avenue. With most of the video displays and audio systems provided by Electrosonic, it boasts 250,000 square feet of exhibit space and includes 14 major galleries and a 4D time-travel experience.

Electrosonic was the AV designer and integrator for the new sanctuary at Northland, A Church Distributed in Longwood, Florida as it moved from a converted skating rink seating about 1,200 parishioners to a purpose-built sanctuary seating 3,000 and boasting classrooms for adults and children, a day-care center, cafe, bookstore and offices. A non-denominational distributed church; Northland streams its services online and coordinates with services held at other locations in Florida and across the globe.

Electrosonic overcame many unique technical challenges installing the video and audio systems for “Creation: Once Upon All Time,” the show staged inside the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. The cathedral is the home base for the international Crystal Cathedral Ministries with a congregation of over 10,000 members. The soaring, airy cathedral features more than 10,000 windows of silver-colored glass held in place by a lace-like framework of white steel trusses, a challenging environment for a house of worship in which audio and video play a regular role in services as well as in special shows.

The Scotch Whisky Experience, sited right next to Edinburgh Castle, opened for business in 1988. During the winter of 2008-2009 the visitor attraction was completely revamped and the “new” experience opened in May 2009. Electrosonic completed the AV installation for the attraction, which included synchronised lighting, sound and video for a dark ride.

Nokia has opened flagship stores in Moscow, Helsinki, New York, Chicago, Hong Kong and Mexico City. These are exciting places in which to socialize and to handle the latest Nokia products. They make stimulating use of sound, lighting, streamed video and interactive techniques. Electrosonic was responsible for the AV integration, and service support for the completed installations.

The Science of Survival is a thought-provoking exhibition that makes imaginative use of interactive techniques. It was considered so important that two identical exhibitions were built in the United Kingdom and United States. While both were designed in London, construction was carried out simultaneously in the UK and USA.

Housed in the atrium of a new wing of the casino at the Wynn Hotel & Casino, the Tree of Prosperity show begins when music starts playing. Soon, a 65-feet wide ceiling iris, with the Chinese horoscope sculpted on it, opens to reveal an LED display of abstract video. The action then shifts to the ground floor where a copper dome, with the Western horoscope sculpted on it, opens and a 65-feet tall golden tree rises from a vault below the floor. The magical tree rotates to the music until the show ends and all the mechanical elements return to their home positions.

Electrosonic Oy Ab of Helsinki, Finland has a long history of providing lighting control and AV systems to the Cruise Liner industry. One of its major customers is Royal Caribbean International.

Cadbury World is continually being developed and improved, and recently it opened a new interactive attraction, “The Purple Planet,” that has proved hugely popular with the public.
