Electrosonic at AAM (American Association of Museums) 2012 Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo

Electrosonic attended the 106th AAM (American Association of Museums) Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo held in Minneapolis–Saint Paul, Minnesota, and exhibited at a 10' by 20' booth that featured two large light boxes and an interactive gesture-based display integrated with a Microsoft Xbox Kinect. Partnered with the media company MyJive, who created the custom content, Electrosonic showcased an interactive WWII timeline and a game that simulated capturing fireflies in a glass jar.

Blooloop continues its feature of Electrosonic Founder Director Robert Simpson's lecture on "The EXPO Phenomenon" given in October 2011 at the TiLEforum conference held in Florence, Italy. The lecture covered the origins and development of EXPOs through the 21st century. Blooloop summarizes the second part of the lecture, which focused on EXPOs in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Electrosonic Honored with ‘Sinus - Systems Integration Award’

Electrosonic was one of the companies honored with the Sinus - Systems Integration Award during the Prolight & Sound trade fair in Frankfurt on March 21 for the successful work completed on the Parlamentarium, the European Parliament Visitors' Centre. The general planner for the Sinus Award was Stuttgart-based designer ATELIER BRÜCKNER. Electrosonic, the European Parliament and four other companies involved in the planning and equipping of the Parlamentarium were honored for the extraordinary and creative use of integration and media technology.

Electrosonic exhibited at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2012 held in Amsterdam, and offered the perfect meeting place for all our business markets, Entertainment, Corporate Solutions, Control Rooms and Service Solutions, to meet new and existing clients in a relaxed and informal setting. Electrosonic's clients were guided around the show and were very impressed by the whole experience, leaving with new and inspired ideas for future projects and upgrades.

Electrosonic provided the audio-visual systems at the Kaiser Permanente Capitol Hill Center for Total Health in Washington, DC, immersing visitors in a medical center that combines leading healthcare with cutting-edge technology.

Highlighted in the January 2012 issue of Sound & Communications, the Center features a 80'Wx10'H interactive touchscreen video wall, two combineable conference rooms with videoconferencing capabilities, an Orientation Theater with a 14'x20' screen, a secure LAN data backbone, and appropriate sound isolation and absorption to maintain control of the audio in the large 13,500-square foot facility.

Electrosonic’s AV Expertise Showcased In Two Thea Award-Winning Projects

Electrosonic's AV accomplishments have been recognized once again by two projects honored with Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement at the 18th Annual Thea Awards. Electrosonic played a key role in both “Star Tours: The Adventures Continue” at Disneyland (cited in the Attraction Refresh category) and “Crane Dance” at Resorts World Sentosa (named in the Show Spectacular category). Winners were announced November 15 at the IAAPA trade show in Orlando; the awards will be presented March 17, 2012 at a gala ceremony at the Disneyland Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Presented by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the Thea Awards recognize and honor excellence in creating outstanding visitor experiences, attractions, exhibits and places. TEA is the only international non-profit association representing the world’s leading creators, developers, designers and producers of compelling content for these venues.

IAAPA Attractions Expo 2011

Electrosonic exhibited at the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2011 held in Orlando, FL, and offered attendees a place to learn more about the company's systems integration and service solutions in the Entertainment market. Electrosonic's booth featured a video montage that highlighted the company's high profile projects in the theme parks and attractions industry. IAAPA is the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities. The Expo provides attendees an opportunity to discover innovative ideas that can elevate the guest experience at theme parks and attractions, and it connects industry colleagues from around the world.
