VECTOR™ display types

VECTOR can be used as a processor for walls of a few, tens or hundreds of displays. It is equally at home driving one or two large displays, and multi-panel LED walls.

VECTOR is designed to drive as many image display types as possible, including DLP, LED, LCD, plasma, front and rear projection and CRT. Its flexible scaling technology means that you can choose the most appropriate and cost effective display devices, irrespective of the source resolutions and formats you wish to show.

Source images may be scaled up or down: unlike some processors, scaling is done in a single pass to optimize picture quality. Sources may be clipped, stretched, shrunk and placed anywhere on the total display surface, straddling individual displays if needed.

Output formats start at 15kHz interlaced video and work up to UXGA. Outputs are analog RGB, or a digital DVI-I option up to XGA resolutions. Custom outputs may be set up for non-standard displays. This is particularly valuable in LED applications.

Outputs may also be overlapped allowing them to be soft-edged mechanically or electronically in front projected applications.

Each VECTOR cage can drive up to 36 displays. Larger walls can be created by adding further cages. All outputs are synchronized to ensure clean effects between displays.

A single VECTOR cage with 11 sources connected including video, high resolution graphics and HD, driving 2 Pioneer 50" plasmas, 8 SIM2 50" DLP cubes and a Digital Projection Lighting SX DLP Projector at SXGA. Note the 9 different sources displayed on the projector. C-Through control software allowed source windows to be floated between the displays, accounting for their physical size differences and separation.
