VN-2400™
Network Display Processor

VN-2400 is a cost effective network display controller from Electrosonic.

Command and control applications are diverse: "status type" displays that present networked applications with video as a secondary requirement are achieved economically using a network processor such as VN-2400. Performance driven applications (including simulation applications) require a processor capable of simultaneous display in real-time of many sources including network sources, video, RGB computer inputs - VECTOR is such a processor. Applications requiring the display of many sources are best served by VN-QUANTUM.

Each VN-2400 unit can drive up to 24 displays. It supports many different types of display windows, including external video, external RGB, remote terminal applications such as Citrix, web sources, Office file sources, etc. A soft-KVM feature allows application control of networked computer clients, in many applications making specialist large-desktop windowing solutions unnecessary.

VN-GLIMPSE allows the RGB output of a networked PC to be captured and displayed by the VN-2400 unit in a window. Utilising highly efficient transportation technology developed by Electrosonic, VN-GLIMPSE improves real-time performance over other related technologies. VN-GLIMPSE is available as a software-only server or as an embedded hardware RGB Adapter.

The most critical part of any display wall system is the user interface. Electrosonic has developed VN-COMMANDER, an application that allows display layouts to be simply designed, and recalled via its own scene selection page, or remotely via a serial port or from another network application.

VN-COMMANDER also allows external sources to be managed and switched for display.

VN-2400 systems are packaged as a 19" rack mount unit, and are available with redundant power supplies. The systems run Microsoft Windows 2000.

VN-2400 systems are modular systems that are factory configured. Systems are available with outputs in blocks of 4. External video, analog RGB inputs and control requirements are specified at the time of ordering.
