Touted as the largest, most exciting pro-AV event in North America, InfoComm boasts thousands of audiovisual products from over a thousand exhibitors, and 44,000 attendees from 110 countries.

The team from Electrosonic was on hand networking and exploring emerging trends in display and audio technology.

Power of projection

One of the amazing technology elements at InfoComm included master projection designer Bart Kresa’s “Sviatovid”, an eye-catching 360˚ projection-mapped head. Using four Panasonic PT-RQ32KU 3-Chip DLP SOLID SHINE 4K+ 26,000-lumen laser projectors, the Sviatovid sculpture titillates the eye with incredible brightness, superior picture quality as well as deep color saturation, transforming the dynamic 15’ bust into playful dancing lights and intricate patterns that mesmerize audiences.

This captivating demonstration showed the evolving role and potential when embracing and properly deploying today’s projection technologies.

Ahead of the curve

LG also made a statement with its curved open-frame OLED screens. Their exhibit included “The Massive Curves of Nature” display, which uses bent OLED panels for an immersive multi-waved experience, featuring unbelievable contrast, beautiful imagery, and a stunning profusion of color. Creating an awe-inspiring environment that transformed from waterfall to desert and to a nebula-filled starry expanse, attendees were drawn and captivated by the unique curvature and vibrancy of LG’s showpiece.

The takeaway from the LG exhibit: display panels are continuously reaching new levels. With the proper design and deployment high-definition, curved displays represent an opportunity to fill an entire array of new applications.

Eye on the future

Electrosonic’s CMO Maurizio Capuzzo also hosted a discussion entitled “Transforming Customer Experiences with XR Technology.” This stimulating session unraveled the mysteries behind XR (extended reality), its various components (VR, AR, MR), its ability to blend real and virtual worlds seamlessly and it’s potential to transform and enhance customer experiences in a variety of industries.

As XR continues to evolve and mature the number of potential applications will continue to grow -- going well beyond the expected.
