Take a highly popular video game and add the world’s highest resolution holographic 3D LED screen, 3D 70-channel audio, motion seating and stunning 4D effects. It’s a recipe for an immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of entertainment attractions. With the added element of a live performer this innovative experience aimed to touch all the human senses.

Electrosonic partnered with 3D Live to create a multimedia ride that takes visitors on a mind-blowing intergalactic journey. Next-generation 3D visuals, 4K resolution with 8 million pixels on the screen and powerful audio elevate the experience.

A full-range high-tech audio system, precision surround sound control and custom seat railing loudspeaker arrays create a fully immersive experience that ushers in a new wave of entertainment innovation in themed attractions.

Mass Effect: New Earth takes visitors on a journey to the faraway lands of the Terra Nova, immersing them in the sights, sounds and scents that intergalactic space travel can offer.

Riders climb aboard motion-based seating and wear 3D glasses as they are taken on a thrilling adventure. A live performer narrates the journey and appears to interact seamlessly with the next-generation 3D visuals.

These elements are integrated with motion seating equipped to simulate wind, water, scent and vibration effects, high tech sound and other 4D effects to create a truly compelling and immersive attraction. Guests travel through space to a distant planet, face off against bigger than life adversaries and ultimately help save the day.

The first-of-its-kind ride is based on an award-winning science fiction role playing video game franchise that combines storytelling, technology and live action. This ground-breaking show employs the highest resolution, holographic, 3D LED screen in the world based on 3D Live’s patented high-resolution 3D LED panel.

The technology enables the actor to physically interact with holographic-like virtual environments. The result is a much truer augmented reality holographic experience that sets new standards in themed entertainment.

This was the first ride to be based on a video game franchise, bringing a new form of augmented reality to the theme park. The organizers wanted to make the most effective use of the sophisticated technology to deliver a true holographic experience that incorporates motion seats, environmental effects and live performers.

The challenge was to convert an existing motion-based theatre space to realize the new show concept and accommodate its innovative LED screen technology as a turnkey project.

Electrosonic worked as an integration partner, designing, programming, installing and integrating the audiovisual and control systems. The 70-channel surround sound audio system provides the immersive sound required and uses advanced binaural systems to add lifelike directionality to sound effects.

Sophisticated video playback and show control systems are integrated with motion seating, 3D graphics and 4D effects. Electrosonic’s engineering and operations teams provided project support throughout.

Live performers react directly with 3D digital visuals while surround sound integrated with motion seating and special 4D effects completely immerse the audience, engaging all the senses.

Mass Effect: New Earth sets a new benchmark for immersive attractions, making direct immersion in a gaming environment a reality. It demonstrates how entertainment technology is converging to create a format that has a direct impact on the user experience.

We had never turnkeyed a ride before, so we felt it best to reach out to a company with a background in that space. From the get-go, Electrosonic was helpful in the budgeting process and getting all our ducks in a row for a project of this scope.
