The Digital Signage Awards

Recognizing achievements for twelve years, the Digital Signage Awards are a global search for the best projects, creativity, products, services and companies.

An impartial panel of experts, consisting of up to five judges per category, independently assessed entries for the 2024 Digital Signage Awards, ensuring evaluation based on experience and followed strict guidelines to maintain fairness and integrity throughout the judging process. Final decisions determined winners in each category, and runners-up received a High Commendation for their submissions.

A digital journey on a micro-LED canvas

The culmination of renowned artist Urs Fischer’s other ‘CHAOS’ installations, CHAOS #501, combines 1000 elements into a single digital canvas at the Gagosian Gallery in New York City.

As the winner of the Temporary/Pop-up Projects category, CHAOS #501 exemplified excellence in designing and executing a top short-term digital display project, with equipment being assembled and dismantled according to a specific schedule

"CHAOS #501 by Urs Fischer was a disruptive, yet engaging interpretation of what happens when 1000 man-made objects collide," said Brandon Harp, Business Development Director at Electrosonic. "This exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery set the tone for how digital art and the physical world react to one another."

Electrosonic served as the technology advisor and systems integrator, carrying out the complex engineering, installation, commissioning, programming and training on this unique project.

Interactive technologies enhance the visitor experience

Also recognized, View Boston earned a High Commendation recognition in Omni-Channel Design and Execution. This category acknowledged outstanding projects that created and delivered digital signage extending beyond on-site screens, utilizing various channels such as mobile, and integrating data from diverse business systems.

This captivating project, spanning 59,000 square feet, stands as a testament to innovation and the blending of technology.

The visitor experience gives guests a birds eye view on many of Boston's attractions through a combination of accessible interactivity and data-driven personalization that extends the experience into the digital realm.

A network of transportation excellence

Notably, two additional projects Orlando International Airport's Terminal C and 'The Orchard' at Doha Hamad International Airport, which Electrosonic contributed to, were also recognized for their impact on passenger travel.

Orlando International Airport – ‘Terminal C’ achieved success, winning both the Immersive and Experiential Environments category and Interactive Design category. This achievement showcases excellence in creating engaging and interactive spaces that stimulate multiple senses, along with innovative applications that utilize touch, gesture and other personalized interactions with digital displays.

'The Orchard' at Doha's Hamad International Airport secured victory in the Large-format Digital Canvases category, representing the most unique, adapted or dynamically generated content for large video walls and projections in public and private areas.
