Electrosonic wins gold and bronze for B2B Branded Content at the 2024 Telly Awards
Electrosonic was honored with a Gold Award at the prestigious Telly Awards, which recognize excellence in content for television and video production.
Electrosonic’s video for its experiential technology design and integration project at the View Boston observation deck experience took Gold in the Branded Content Business-to-Business category, as well as a Bronze Award for the same project in the Branded Content Travel and Tourism category.
The five-minute video documents the complex, detailed work behind the scenes that brings a massive project like View Boston to life. It showcases the skills and expertise of Electrosonic and its partners as they demonstrate the possibilities of experiential and immersive technologies.
“Experiential technology at View Boston creates a highly visual visitor experience and video is the best way we can communicate the creativity, innovation and imagination it takes to create a world-class experience,” said Alex Westerh, Director of Marketing at Electrosonic. “It’s an incredible honor for our world-class marketing team to be recognized alongside of some of the biggest brands in the world for their work in B2B Branded Content.”
The winning project video
View Boston – behind the scenes
View Boston is a 59,000-square-foot observation deck experience spanning two floors, experiential elevators and welcome and finale areas of Boston’s iconic Prudential Center. Breathtaking views integrated with immersive, interactive placemaking technologies such as virtual itinerary building, a projection-mapped 3D city model, virtual viewers and a 270-degree theatre create a vibrant, highly personalized visitor experience that is accessible throughout.
One of the most innovative experiences is Boston 365 where visitors encounter a 50-foot-wide 3D scale model of the city. Immersive storytelling brings the model to life as projection mapping synchronizes with audio to display 12 looped narratives that celebrate Boston’s spirit and highlights.
“We were brought on board alongside of our partners – Christie Digital, Float4, FrankNDesign, JRA, Lightborne, Nanolumens & 7thSense – to reimagine what this space could look like and to show how technology can be used as a powerful medium to tell the amazing Boston story,” said Sean McChesney, Chief Revenue Officer at Electrosonic. “There’s no better way to demonstrate how our teams used immersive audio, video and other experiential technologies to create a visitor experience on a scale that no one has ever done before.”
Electrosonic took responsibility for blue sky technology concepts, audiovisual and control system design, detailed engineering and system integration throughout View Boston. The video shows how innovative engineering, expert audiovisual design, seamless integration, rigorous testing and collaborative efforts with partners were instrumental in overcoming technical challenges to deliver an experience that sets new standards for observation decks.
