Electrosonic strengthens North American operations with key promotions and team growth

Philip Courtney and John Andrade take on expanded roles as the company sharpens focus on innovation and delivery excellence

Electrosonic, the award-winning audiovisual and technology services company, is strengthening its North American operations with the promotion of two standout team members and the continued development of strategic departments. Philip Courtney was recently promoted to Director of Solutions Design and John Andrade steps into the role of Senior Project Engineer. These leadership moves reflect Electrosonic’s ongoing investment in design innovation, technical excellence and project execution.

Philip Courtney – leading design and visualization with purpose

Courtney assumes the role of Director of Solutions Design after playing a central role in restructuring the Solutions Design Team. In this new position, he will continue leading Solutions Designers and also take on leadership of the Visualization team. Under Courtney’s direction, Electrosonic will further elevate its ability to design and document complex audiovisual systems with creativity, precision and consistency.

Courtney was recently named to Commercial Integrator’s 40 Influencers Under 40 class of 2024, a recognition of his significant contributions to the AV industry. Known for his positive outlook and team-first mindset, he brings strong leadership that reinforces a collaborative culture while delivering consistent project success.

“Phil is a strategic thinker who also understands how to execute,” said Ryan Poe, VP of Technology at Electrosonic. “He bridges empathy and technical detail in a way that strengthens both the team and the end result. His leadership will continue to shape the quality and consistency of our design practice.”

John Andrade – building technical strength and mentoring future talent

In just over a year, Andrade has become a key player in the Project Engineering team, contributing to high-profile projects including The Johnny Depp Experience, Accenture and others. In his new role as Senior Project Engineer, John will take on greater ownership of technical standards, mentor team members and collaborate with leadership to guide department growth.

Strategic team growth supports long-term vision

Electrosonic also welcomes Priscilla Da Silva to the Project Management team. Da Silva brings a multidisciplinary background that includes experience in experiential design, visualization and consulting. Her blend of skills will strengthen alignment between creative intent and project execution while introducing project management best practices into early-phase consulting engagements.

In addition, Joel Zink will lead a refocused Technology Consulting team. A long-serving member of the Electrosonic team since 2014, Zink brings deep technical knowledge and client trust to the role. He will guide the group to support strategic business initiatives through thought leadership, client education and data-driven insight.

“We are proud to see the continued growth and momentum of our North American operations team,” said Sean McChesney, Chief Revenue Officer at Electrosonic. “The promotions of Phil and John, along with the expanded roles for Priscilla and Joel, reflect our commitment to investing in home-grown talent that delivers excellence for our clients. This team is central to our strategy moving forward.”
