Electrosonic’s Chris Conte honored with two major industry awards

Chris Conte, Executive Consultant and Global Ambassador at Electrosonic was honored by the Themed Entertainment Association and Blooloop for his outstanding contribution to the development - and future - of themed entertainment. 

Chris was acknowledged in the 2023 Class of TEA Masters for his work in Audiovisual Technology Design and Integration and was named on the Blooloop 50 Influencer list for 2023 in the Themed Entertainment category.

TEA Masters of their Craft 

The TEA Masters program, managed by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), recognizes a select number of individuals each year as ‘Masters of their craft’ whose skills epitomize the highest standards within their disciplines and who have used those skills to advance their field and the themed entertainment industry.

Each TEA Master has built a body of work over decades, demonstrating consistent quality and execution. TEA Masters help to create visceral stories, rides, attractions, events and places that thrill, delight and educate guests worldwide.  

Although the TEA Masters, by definition, are well established in their careers, many Masters are actively creating new marvels around the world, and all of the Masters remain passionate about sharing their well-honed skills and career lessons with those interested in entering the industry or wanting to learn more about its various aspects.

This is an embodiment of Chris's continual passion and dedication to the themed entertainment industry and because of this Chris was one of only five industry veterans who received this title in 2023 along with Robin Hall, Björn Heerwagen, Jodi McLaughlin and Karen Trott.

Blooloop Top 50 Theme Park & Attractions Influencer

With decades of experience delivering countless award winning projects across the globe Chris was named to the list, with one nominator even commenting that, "With a substantial history of influencing the quality and performance of experiential solutions within the realm of theme parks, Conte stands out.”

Chris Conte's contribution to themed entertainment

For over 20 years, Chris Conte has been a key player in Electrosonic’s successes, involved in some of the biggest and most prestigious global projects. As the company’s Global Ambassador and Executive Consultant, he works with clients in the early stages of a project to interpret the client’s vision, provide technology education to the project team and set the unique technical direction for the client’s project.

Chris also works closely with the Electrosonic Design Consulting Division and Systems Integration Engineering team throughout the project, offering advice and guidance to achieve and maintain the client’s final vision. 

His extensive experience in technology design, production, and construction brings real value to any project team, allowing him to help drive projects to success. Chris is also highly adept at building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients. His background as an Executive Consultant and Technical Director for countless themed entertainment projects gives him great credibility with peers and clients. 

Chris has contributed to hundreds of global projects in theme parks, museums, theaters, hospitality and World Expos. His achievements have been recognized by six THEA Awards. Chris has also served as an international board member for the TEA and as a committee organizer, thought leader and SATE Co-Chair. He has been widely involved in TEA educational initiatives and has helped mentor the next generation of theme entertainment professionals within Electrosonic and across the wider industry. 

Chris stands out for his substantial history of influencing the quality and performance of experiential solutions within the realm of themed entertainment. Throughout his career, he has continued to navigate through major industry changes while successfully implementing the possibilities of innovation and creativity achievable through audiovisual technology in the themed entertainment industry.

One person who nominated Chris said his mission is “to ensure that theme park and attraction designs and owners always benefit from the latest technology solutions. He accomplishes this by monitoring developing technologies, maintaining awareness of best practices and strengthening industry and technology partner relationships.”
